Mariposa's Art

Mariposa's Art provides after-school arts & music programs where youth learn to express themselves, creatively problem-solve, make healthy choices, and positively affect their communities.  Through Mariposa's Art, a program of Arts Council Santa Cruz County, hight school students become leaders, mentors and role models by co-teaching with professional artist in schools that have little or no funding to support the arts during the regular school day.  Mariposa's Art programs provide high quality arts education and vital developmental assets.  By aiming to align curriculum with the CA State Board of Educations's Content Standards for Visual & Performing Arts, students learn a variety of skills in the arts along with important history and culture lessons.
